| Personal History | Isabelle was born on Earth, to a Human father & Betazoid mother. Unknown to Isabelle she is adopted, her birth mother was one of six children all Augments, who were left behind when their ship the USS Ranger departed Earth without them. Having been abandoned the augment children were adopted to unsuspecting families, after Isabelle was born her mother gave her up to protect her, she was adopted by Betazoid parents who were at the time serving in Starfleet, which peaked her interest in wanting to know more about being a Starfleet Officer. Isabelle’s abilities developed earlier than usual but she was lucky to have her adoptive mother there to train her on how to use her abilities properly. At the age of 13 Isabelle’s parents made an arrangement for Isabelle to marry Joren Rhen, following the Betazoid tradition of arranged marriages. Isabelle liked Joren and he treated her well but they were not meant to be, the relationship didn’t make it as far as marriage. At the age of sixteen Isabelle enrolled at Betazoid University, following the Counselling track, she proved herself to be a natural Counsellor and graduated with distinction. Upon leaving Betazed University she made up her mind to enrol in Starfleet Academy much to the delight of her parents. She was a well liked, hard working student but her strong willed personality clashed with some of her tutors & although she had a few reprimands from time to time Isabelle graduated four years later with honours in Psychology, and Diplomacy as well as Operations Management. Upon graduation from the Academy Isabelle was assigned to Starfleet Medical for a two year rotation as Counsellor, dealing with patients with all manner of problems, which was a good learning curve for her. During a previous mission prior to the Dominion War Isabelle was infected with Borg nanites, she now has Borg implants in her spine and brain stem. |
