Jaal sat in his quarters still wondering what, exactly, just happened.

I just got back from Captain Garrison's office. I can hardly believe what he told me. Is someone playing a gag on me for a change?

They're sending me to a starship, the USS Blackeagle. I can't say I've heard of that one. I never thought Starfleet would let me onto a ship again. This will be an incredible opportunity. I will try as best I can to not screw this one up. I've had enough of scraping and replacing paint off hulls and decontaminating shuttles.
