Away Team 2 Recall

Mission: Investigate the Chintoka Shipyard Buildup
Location: Chin'Toka Shipyard
Timeline: Current.

T'Lira had found out she had been assigned to Team three under Lieutenant Gasai. She thought it prudent to meet him and Lieutenant Asaa Kell as she was new to this ship to find out exactly what their mission parameters were. This mission seemed to require a bit of introspective penetration into enemy territory, from what she could gather from the mission brief they were to examine what the Dominion was up to and if they intended to start another war.

"Good day, I am Lieutenant T'Lira and I have been assigned to your team. I thought it prudent that we discuss a plan of attack to best succeed in this mission," T'Lira said.

Kell was checking her outfit, much more comfortable in her regular medical clogs but now more than familiar with the tighter-fitting coveralls they were using to blend in once they made their way inside. Her head pops up when she hears the new voice...

"Ah, our second team member. Welcome Lieutenant." Kell looks over at the lieutenant. "I think the Chief is late, but don't let Ren's passionate demeanor fool you, he does tend to smile, often, just runs late a lot..."

"I don't mind I'm used to it," T'Lira said.

"So... Chief of Engineering, Chief of Science, and La Jefe de Medica. Are we heading for the labs commander? They should have testing results from the rebuild, plus anything else they might be working on..."

Kell reaches into the case she'd brought along. "These are from 'Tawn at the armory." She handed T'Lira a disruptor!

"They're modified for stun, like our phasers, but 'Tawn thought they would be less likely to stand out and give us away or have to hide them which would make them difficult to deploy quickly." She quickly went over the mechanics with her, just to be safe.

With a sigh, Kell looked up. "I'm ready if you are? The sooner we get in there and look around, the sooner we're back to our floating home! Now we just need our team leader..."

At that moment, Lieutenant Commander Kevin Kilbane joined the three of them "Unfortunately, Engineering has reported that the cloaking device has malfunctioned again. The Captain was informed and he wants Lieutenant Gasai to go back there to see if things can be sorted out. I'll be taking his place as lead during this little sojourn, I'm Lieutenant Commander Kevin Kilbane, from ships Intelligence."

Kell's eyes got big. "Ship's Intelligence?? Oh NO!!!" Then she smiles. "Just kidding. Good to have you along. We've got some generic coveralls to blend in hopefully, plus I got us each something less familiar than our issue phasors." She hands the commander the last disruptor, with her unasked question of whether he was familiar with it, but she thought he might be.

As the commander hesitated, Kell stops. "Uh, are we going or staying? Has there been an emergency?"

Kilbane looked at the PADD he had in his hand "It looks like the other Away Team are returning to the ship...and quarantine measures are needed for two of them. "

"It looks like we are staying, better luck next time, T'Lira replied.

Kell nodded, reclaiming the disruptors to turn back into the armory. "I'm sure we'll all have another chance in the not too distant future. One thing I know about the Captain, and that it's never boring around him!"

Kilbane nodded "I've know the Captain a long time, and never a truer word spoken. I don't know if it's a lifestyle choice, but he does seem to draw in his fair share of unusual situations. Well, best we get back to our stations and also have that quarantine set up, dismissed."

As the others left him, Kilbane smiled at what the Doctor had said about things not being boring around Finchley "I can't wait for them to really get to know him!" he then laughed and left the room himself.
