The 'Eagle continues.
Location: Mess Hall
Timeline: MD001, 1135 hrs
“Hello.” William said as he stopped at the table Sophia had just sat down at. “Imagine bumping into each other two times in one day and in a row.” He smiled then as he looked at her. “To be honest, I was hoping you would be here at the same time.” He hoped he didn’t sound too forward but he liked her and he didn’t see any point in playing games.
“What are the odds? Not that mind.” she was still imagining the kiss they shared earlier. She knew it was frantization. But at the moment she did not care. She really liked him, and maybe she would get another chance to kiss him.
William took a seat and looked over at her for a moment. “How was your day today? I felt like I just got to work and I was leaving already. It was a busy day.”
“It definitely felt long from it but I also tracked it up to the fact that I was doing a lot of exploration in the areas that I was in. Plus that in my excitement and the adrenaline of it all. Probably made it feel like it was a really long day.” Sophia said, as they took a seat.
“I can see that.” William nodded. He took a drink from his glass. “What are you doing this evening?” He hoped he wasn’t jumping the gun but he liked her.
“No big plans. I was hoping to see this guy that I kissed earlier today. But I don't know if he's going to stop by again.” Sophia said teasingly. She knew and he knew that she was talking about him.
“Oh he is.” William smiled at her. “He is very interested in kissing her again.”
Sophia grinned as she leaned into the table a little bit, she had a come and kiss me smirking look on her face. “Then what is he waiting for?”
“He isn’t.” William leaned over and kissed her, taking his time before he sat back down.
“I know we shouldn't be doing that, but right now I don't care.” Sophia said that she lean back to her side of the table.
“Neither do I.” William agreed with her. “I like you and I don’t care what anyone thinks.”
“We barely know each other, I think it's safe to say we both have an attraction to each other.” Sophia said, she shook her head gently at him.
“That is true.” William agreed. “But this is how we get to know each other, by spending time together.”
“Witty with the comebacks, nice.” Sophia said with the big smirk on her face. She really appreciated his sense of humor.
William grinned. “I like to look at things with as much humor as I can. Life can be way too serious.”
“I think we are going to make a good team.” Sophia said, as she smiled at him. She resisted kissing him. Instead she reached for a bite from her plate of food.
William ate in silence for a moment. “So, what would you like to do this evening?”
“Maybe the live a bar?” Sofia suggested, knowing those more commonly referred to as the lounge.
“That sounds like fun.” William nodded. He was glad to just spend time with her. “What time can I pick you up?”
“An hour after dinner?” Sophia said common knowing not exactly sure what time that would be. But she like the idea, nonetheless.
“Do you know what time you will be eating?”
William asked her. He didn’t want to show up too early.
“Okay, I was hoping that a handsome man and I can have dinner together, but afterwards I might be free.” Sophia said teasingly, wanting William to suggest that they should have dinner together.
“Why don’t we just have dinner together.” William asked her with a smile. “And then we can go from there.”
“With you, we can arrange that.” Sophia said teasingly, knowing darn well she was excited about that option.
William smiled. “I am glad to hear that.” He confessed. “I am already looking forward to it.”
“I think first we need to get past lunch.” Sophia said she took a bite from her plate.
“Yes.” William grinned at her. “Then finish our day before we can spend the evening together.”
Sophia smiled as the scene starts to fade away.
William looked forward to the evening ahead. He couldn’t believe he hadn’t been here long and already found someone he really liked.
