Mission:
The 'Eagle continues.
Location: Mess Hall
Timeline: Just after arrival onboard
Of the many things Drevas was eager to do upon arriving aboard the Blackeagle, one of them simply had to be to peruse the menu on its replicators. In the absence of being able to cook his own meals (given the workload he'd have to manage from now on), the mess hall was going to become the staple means of getting food from now on, surely. It pleased him greatly to find that there was Japanese tonkotsu ramen on the menu, though, which he happily ordered and sat down to eat with a pair of chopsticks and spoon. Thank his aunt for teaching him how to use them, really - it'd helped him a lot.
Having arrived onboard the Blackeagle again, Isabelle had dropped her things in her quarters before deciding to head to the mess hall for lunch. She wasn’t sure entirely what she wanted to eat but upon looking at the menu she chose a mixed salad platter, a combination of salad items from various Federation worlds all combined into one large salad. She’d tried it once before and had quite enjoyed the combined flavours and textures. Looking around she saw someone sitting alone and decided to introduce herself.
“Excuse me” She smiled warmly. “Would you mind if I joined you?”
Drevas didn't recognize the brunette that was currently speaking to him - but then again he hadn't exactly had time to meet everyone important on board just yet. Company was nonetheless welcomed, though. "You may." He replied smoothly. "You are?"
Isabelle smiled as she placed her tray down. “Isabelle Savette, Chief Counsellor” She took a seat and made herself comfortable. “I used to be here before I’ve just been reassigned back to the ship again. So...you are?” She gave him a curious look.
"Drevas. Chief of security and tactical." Drevas reached out to shake her hand. "I expect that we'll be meeting in an official capacity soon enough, then. Considering psychiatric evaluations are mandatory for all personnel prior to the launch of the ship?" He quipped. "I do hope that the rest of the crew doesn't give you too much trouble with their attendance."
Isabelle reaches out her hand to shake, giving a polite shake before letting go. “It’s nice to meet you. As for the crew, People generally aren’t too bad, I tend to make evaluations as easy and relaxing as I can.” She smiled warmly before pausing to sip her drink.
"I think a counsellor that is able to do that with grace has a talent." Drevas replied. "I've met my fair share of counsellors in my service. They really do vary in attitude and personality. I imagine it is incredibly difficult to deal with clients that can range from compliant to aggressively hostile, and remain committed to making your sessions as palatable as possible..."
Isabelle smiled warmly. “It’s a case of taking each session as it comes, then sinking into a chocolate ice cream or something equally as stress relieving later on!”
"Ah. Of course." Drevas seemed amused, commenting on that habit of hers. "I'm more partial to fruit than sweets, actually. Grapes in particular; I think they're delicious."
“Do you have more of a fruit tooth, than a sweet tooth” Isabelle smiled. “I try to eat a healthy diet, but I do enjoy my sweet treats too.”
"Fruits, certainly. Though I do have the occasional sweet. In which case I do quite like chocolate." Drevas admits, a little shyly. "I... well. I do on occasion make my own desserts. I'm nowhere near the level of a professional chef, but..."
“As long as you enjoy it that’s all that matters” Isabelle smiled warmly. “You don’t need to be a chef.”
"Indeed. I owe it to my aunt, who forced me to take up cooking as a hobby. It'd sustain me for life, she said. She wasn't wrong," Drevas sighed wistfully. "Not once have I regretted learning. I've made small tarts and cakes for previous partners, in fact."
“It’s a hobby you’ll never regret” Isabelle grinned before finishing off her salad and drink. “Anyway I should be getting organised, I’ll never get settled in if I don’t.”
"As should I." Drevas smiled and rose to his feet, taking his plate with him. "Until next time we meet,"
“Until next time” With that she headed on her way, she had plenty of work to do.
