Timeline: After Reporting In

- Prior to the briefing -

After his meeting with Captain Kerr, Alec headed to Sickbay to get his coming aboard exam out of the way. As he entered he was greeted by a nurse who directed him to one of the private treatment rooms and told the CMO would be with him directly. Sitting on the biobed, his feet hanging over the side. Alec hummed a happy tune while he waited for the CMO to arrive.

Walking into Sickbay enroute between offices, with a stack of PADDs in hand Isabelle offered a polite smile as she walked through, before suddenly pausing and turning to look at the officer she’d just passed. “Alec?” She stood open mouthed for a moment before walking over to him. “It IS you!!” She put down her PADDs before giving him a friendly hug.

Alec heard the voice and then an instant later he saw her. "Isabelle?" He asked the joy in his voice evident. He didn't have a chance to say anything else as Isabelle had moved to him and he was happily sharing a warm hug with her. When the hug broke, he smiled happily at her, "Oh my gosh! It is fantastic to see you!”

Isabelle stepped back a little, they were on duty after all. “I can’t believe this! What brings you here?”

Alec grinned at her, "I'm the new chief flight control officer as well as the Blackeagle's new second officer. I'm guessing you're the CMO ?"

“Actually no” Isabelle grinned. “Chief Counsellor Actually. I’m not sure if we’ve been assigned a Chief Medical Officer as yet. There’s a medic in though, she’s being kept busy with the stock check at the moment.”

Alec smiled brilliantly at Isabella. "Chief Counselor? That is great Isabelle, Congratulations. I'm sure you must be kept busy as well, you know can counsel me anytime."

Isabelle grinned. “Thank you kind sir” she did a little curtsy. “I’m not a doctor but I can take your basic readings and medical details for your boarding medical. It might take some of the load off for the medical staff.”

Alec laughed her curtsy. "Sure, thing Isabelle. Whatever is needed to get the process started, I am all for. So, if you want to take my basic readings by all means please proceed. Though...." He continued, "I would have thought you knew my basics, Very warm blooded. charming." He teased.

Isabelle couldn’t help but giggle, and blush. “I always was giddy as a schoolgirl around you.”

Alec flashed a boyish smile at her and chuckled. "There is something you can help me with Isabelle. I haven't had time to look at the manifest yet. I want to talk to the XO and introduce myself. Can you please tell me who it is?"

“Actually...” Isabelle paused. “That would be...me!” She smiled. “Speaking of which I’d best let the medical staff do their job, mine is two fold as it is. I only just got asked to do the job, I’m still processing it.”

Alec beamed at her. "You're the XO Isabelle? That is fantastic! Congratulations, I know you will be a great XO and as such let me extend an invitation to you for dinner for two."

Isabelle smiled. “That sounds lovely, it’ll give us a chance to catch up. It seems like a long time since we last saw each other, are you still looking for that certain woman to make your life special?”

"Sure, sounds good Isabelle. Anything special you want for dinner?" Not answering the question about finding a special woman.

“Not particularly, just whatever you fancy at the time” Isabelle offered a warm smile. “We used to have fun meeting up for dinner didn’t we?”

Alec nodded, "Okay, that gives me lots of leeway. I can promise you won't be disappointed, and we sure did have lots of fun."

Isabelle smiled. “I used to enjoy our get togethers, I missed that when we both moved on. You were the only person I really had to talk to who wouldn’t judge.”

"I loved us getting together, talking and laughing. Enjoying each other's company. I'll never judge you, Isabelle. I will however always support you." Alec answered honestly.

“Right now I’m going to need that, being XO is going to be the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced. I’m going to give it a damn good go though.”

Alec smile warmly at Her, "Izzy." He said using his nickname for her. "You can do this. I have every confidence in you. Now, you need to go and show you can handle the job... and." He added, "If you ever need to talk or vent, my door is always open for you." He added honestly.

“I appreciate that Alec” Isabelle smiled warmly. “Thank you. I guess I should be going, I’m in the middle of moving between quarters while I’ve still got the time.”

"You are most welcome Izzy. Let me know when you want that dinner, the sooner the better. Oh, if you need help moving, call me."

“Be careful I might take you upon that!” Isabelle grinned as she gave him another hug before turning to head on her way. “It is lovely to see you again Alec.”

"I hope you do." Alec replied with a smile. "It is wonderful to see you again as well Izzy." Alec replied and felt a longing in his heart to know Izzy better.

Smiling Isabelle headed towards the door before pausing. “Just let me know when you want me for that dinner” she gave him a big smile.

Alec grinned, "You will be hearing from being soon Isabella, I promise."
