Mission:
The 'Eagle continues.
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Morning after ‘home’
Knowing that Shon would most likely want to see Alec now he was rested, or at least partially rested after their night together, Isabelle accompanied him down to Sickbay. They were sitting talking on one of the biobeds…
“Do you see that too?” Isabelle pointed to one of the nurses. “I see a comforting aura of light around her. Not quite as bright as when I looked at you last night though.”
Alec looked at the nurse in question and nodded. "Yes, I do. Her aura is soft, tranquil. Not as bright as yours however." He was glad Isabelle could see what he saw and could talk to and relate to him about it. He didn't feel alone over it. Being able to have Isabelle share the experience made it that much better.
“This is so fascinating, we should document everything for further study.” Isabelle offered a smile.
"That's a great idea!" Alec replied excitedly. "Good thinking, let's start documenting! Is there a PaDD we can use?"
“We can find one in a bit, I don’t think Shon will appreciate us fiddling around with that while she’s checking you over.
Shon smiled, "I don't mind, I am just glad to have my friends back on the ship, safe." She continued to scan Alec. "Alec when Isabelle speaks is there any change in the aura you see?"
"Her aura pulsates. I mean, it grows brighter as she talks, gets excited that sort of thing. Your aura is the same way Shon when I look at you. it is comforting."
“I can see it too now Shon, since we bonded last night. I’m not feeling any different, except for our bond settling in.” Isabelle offered her friend a smile. “We’re thinking it might be a temporary side effect?”
"To be honest Isabelle I am beginning to think you are right. All my tests, everything I can think of is coming up negative. The only other things I can do are in the realm of invasive brain procedures and, or sending you to a specialist unit on Earth." Shon sighed. Alec I think this will gradually fade but, the choice is yours. What do you want to do?"
'Just leave it Dex, No more tests. it's not affecting me adversely. I am sleeping and eating well. No headaches. I can handle it and preform my duties. I'll just wait to see if it fades. Plus, if something does happen Isabelle will know."
Isabelle nodded. “Our bond is still pretty new, but whatever has happened to Alec seems to have sped up our connection. I’ll know if something is off.”
Alec nodded, "See? No worries. Isabelle will be able tell if something isn't like it ought to be and she can alert you Dex."
“That’s if you’re happy for us to continue our duties as normal?” Isabelle looked towards Dex, she was the CMO and the decision would be hers.
Shon smiled and nodded, yes I am sure you can, just take things slowly at first and if you have any worries see me at once. Don't forget I will be away with the Captain for the next few weeks but you can still get in touch with me of you need to."
"Don't worry Dex, relax. We got this." Alec replied. "We know what we're dealing with and what to expect. You can count on Isabelle to alert you anything out of the ordinary or what we can't handle."
She smiled, "that's good, I think it would be good if we all had some recovery time for a while at least."
