Mission:
Investigate the Chintoka Shipyard Buildup
Location: USS Blackeagle
Timeline: Current
Shon piloted the shuttle into the docking bay of the ship after what had seemed an interminable journey. She still did not feel quite right although she was improving. Isabelle on the other hand seemed to be improving more slowly. She herself just wanted a shower and some sleep but was aware that the Captain wanted to move on to the next phase of the mission. She tapped her comm, =/\= Dex to Doctor Asaa, we have just returned and are still in the shuttle. What do you need us to do ?=/\=
Isabelle sat waiting for Kell’s response, she had no doubt that both she and Dex would most likely end up in quarantine until they’d been assessed to be no risk to the ship.
Kell watched from the pressure door, both exited, professionally, but also dreading any dire outcome.
=/\= "Asaa to Dex. Acknowledged. The bay has been evacuated and quarantine measures are in place. I have set up secure zones for each of you until we're sure of your conditions. Please exit and shed your garments. There's a case there to deposit them, plus sterile ones for now until you're cleared. Proceed to your zone and the field will automatically erect once you're inside. Dex, head straight ahead and Isabelle, just off to your left. I'll be along after I've dealt with the initial data and we can start your workup so I can get you back on duty as quickly and safely as possible." =/\=
Isabelle did as Kell instructed, removing her clothing she was surprised by just how many implants she actually had on her skin. Putting on the sterile clothing she headed into her zone, the moment the field erected her senses were immediately isolated from the outside world. Moving to the bed in the room she sat down to await Kell’s arrival.
Shon did the same and proceeded to her secure zone. The last thing she wanted to do was to be held in quarantine and poked and prodded.
As soon as the two were safe, Kell activated the purge in the bay, sanitizing and expelling any free contaminants, although her initial scans were quite promising. She got the green light and entered the airlock, securing it behind her and headed for Shon's zone. The XO would get her first look, she was ranking, and also appeared less involved medically.
Kell approached the containment, observing Shon's manner for any outward signs while the wall was opaque from the inside. The medical equipment she'd placed was feeding her plenty of info, all of it indicating she was little worse for the wear. Tapping her padd, she dropped the containment field and put on her CMO smiley face.
"Good morning Commander Dex. I see you've managed to get into trouble rather quickly, and also managed to get right back out of it. If you hang around the Captain for long, you'll probably find this is more the norm than not." She said, shaking her head slightly and assuming a more sober expression.
"I'm going to do more analysis, but it appears that whatever you succumbed to is gone. BUT... please let me know if you experience any further symptoms, similar or otherwise. And I'll expect a detailed report from the time of contact to now, with a basic timeline as well as you can manage. Otherwise, you are cleared for duty. I'm guessing there will be a briefing shortly. Any feedback for me at this point commander?"
“Thank you Doctor, whilst I do not have the fever, chills and aches I had and I am not now seeing things that are not there I still do not feel quite right. I could possibly put that down to not having had time to meditate. Oh and I brought a present along for you to examine. I left it in a bio bag in the shuttle. It seems they were experimenting. I found what looks like a sentient beings skeleton. Head and chest Klingon, spine and prehensile tail, inside the chest are what looks like positronic and or Borg type implants. I wonder if that has some bearing on the Lieutenants problems. Interesting.”
Kell's expression turned curious. "I certainly will check into that. I'll be tending to the counselor in a few moments, her condition, while improved, is a bit more involved, physically." She examined the XO visually, trying to keep the poking and prodding to a minimum usually, finally satisfied with the scans.
"No new scars, it was a good day then. Let me know if you need anything, your body has been very taxed in a short period of time and our downtime, in-mission, is slim to none more often than not. It was fortunate you have some Vulcan in you, but if you need some regulated relief I can be of assistance. I imagine, Puss is it? Will be glad you're back as well." Kell smiled and stepped back, giving Dex some breathing space.
“We will indeed be glad to see each other Doctor. Thank you,”
Kell nodded. "When we follow up, bring Puss with you and I can check you both out. It helps to have a bit of that background in my medical history in your case."
Thank you Doctor I will. Shon left to go check on Puss.
