Mission: Investigate the Chintoka Shipyard Buildup
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Current

Lt Asaa rolled her head, easing some of the tension in her neck after the procedure. She stilled for a moment, centering, and relaxed herself fully.

'Everyone seems to be adjusting well, given their new appearance,' she thought to herself as her latest patient narrowed their eyes from the initial wider-than-wide version, counting down before they returned their attention to her.

She nodded before they had a chance to ask the same question, yet again for each one, even though she had already gone over it before the procedure.

"No, it's not permanent; no, it won't hurt or itch, apart from a regular ache or itch; no, it won't hold up under a detailed Cardassian medical scan but yes to cursory bio scans and; yes, it will react like your normal skin, but that's the extent of the disguise... dermal and sub-dermal. Unless you bleed brown, don't let them see it, here is a dye you can subtly apply that will turn your pigment to brown should such an issue arise... should be good for a couple of hours. Now, please see the counselor if you haven't already for materials to prepare you to act like your appearance should suggest."

The puckered face was evidence enough her panned diatribe got through and she dismissed her last patient... well, next to last, now she had to take care of herself. She had reasoned that it might make certain individuals nervous to see a Cardassian operating on them, even with the regular medical crew nearby and assisting.

Not long after, she took some calming breaths as she looked in the mirror in her office. She tweaked a detail here and there, glancing back and forth at a few Cardassian profiles... It had been a while since she'd affected such a drastic appearance change, something she should stay practiced at, but she was encouraged that after the first few minutes she'd moved along briskly with no trouble.

"Welcome to life, Glinn Tiyal... may your career be sure, and successful!" Her voice was a little rumbly with the accent... She hoped she wouldn't have to speak much so she worked on her nods, grunts, growls, and sneers.
