Moving Day

Mission: The 'Eagle continues.
Location: Alec-Isabelle's cabin
Timeline: After a Conversation with Isabelle

Alec had made sure to clear his schedule so he would free to help Isabelle move some of her belongings into his quarters which would give them more time to spend together. Something he was greatly looking forward to.

Going to her office, he stood in the doorway. "Hi Isabelle, ready to get started moving some of your things into your new quarters?" He asked with a broad smile. "I know I can't wait to get started. You know, no time like the present. When we finish, I'll fix us something to eat or better yet we can fix something together."

“Sure!” Isabelle smiled warmly as she locked away her notes from the morning’s counselling sessions. “I won’t need that much really, but help is always welcome.”

Alec nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a plan to me Isabelle. Bring whatever you think you will need, I cleared a amount of space in my closet and my dressers." He teased and smile adorned his face.

Isabelle grinned. “Sounds like you’re planning on my bringing a lot of things with me?”

Alec shook his head, "No, not at all Isabelle. Though I have been told that women have lots of clothes and accessories that they just can't do without. Not that I have any first-hand knowledge on the subject," He grinned back at her.

Isabelle couldn’t help but grin. “Let’s get sorted while we’ve got the time, if you could get us something quick and light for dinner I’ll get on with packing.”

Alec grinned and nodded, "I can do that! Anything special you want Isabelle?" He asked as made ready to get the pair a light dinner. "Can I move anything before I dash off to get us something to eat?"

“Hmm that box is already done, it’s just a few nicknacks of mine, and some books.” Isabelle smiled. “As for food surprise me!”

Alec grinned, "Here, I'll take it right now." He said, walking over to the box and picking it up. "As for surprising you. I hope I always surprise and make you happy Isabelle."

"I've no doubt you will" Isabelle smiled warmly before heading to get herself a few things out of her wardobe, she wouldn't need much more for now as she was still keeping her quarters until such time as her move became more permanent.

"I'll take this my, I mean our quarters and drop it off . Then I'll go and get us a snack and meet you back there. You going to be alright?" Alec asked before he left to drop off the box and get them something to eat.

“I’ll be fine don’t worry” Isabelle nodded and smiled. “I’ll be all done by the time you get back.”

"Alright.' Alec answered dubiously but not going to argue the point. "You take care of that, and I'll drop this off and then get us something for us to eat. I know just what to get us. I'll be back in just a few minutes." His eyes twinkling merrily.

~ A few minutes later ~

Isabelle dropped a last couple of small bags by the door, if Alec was going to be back at any moment she wanted to have the table ready for the food he was bringing back for them. Quickly laying up a couple of places at the small table she waited for Alec to return.

It was just minute before Alec breezed through the door. he smiled brightly at Isabelle. "Wow, you did get everything moved. You go Isabelle and you have the table set as well.
That is fantastic. I brought us lunch." He said holding two large, covered plates. "Sit down Isabelle. I thought this would be perfect for moving day." With that Alec set one plate in front of Isabelle and one in front of him. "Da ta!" He exclaimed as he removed the cover so Isabelle could see fried chicken, barbeque pork, hush puppies, cole slaw and corn on the cob. "What do you think Isabelle?"

“Absolutely wonderful” Isabelle smiled warmly. “You know how much I love chicken and barbecue pork! Let’s get stuck in before we run out of time.”

Alec grinned at her. "I do know Isabelle and look and see what else I got us." He said as he uncovered the second plate to reveal two big slices of strawberry cheesecake.

“Oh you devil you!!” Isabelle grinned, Alec knew she loved strawberry cheesecake.

Alec smiled mischievously. "I thought you would like that, Isabelle. I'm glad to see I am right. Now let's dig in and enjoy this meal."

Isabelle nodded. “Let’s indeed, I’m starving!”

"An idea I totally get behind Isabelle." Alec replied with a smile as the pair settled down to enjoy their 'picnic' lunch. "Don't forget we have dessert as well."

“I’ll make sure I save room” Isabelle smiled warmly. “I certainly don’t want to miss dessert.”

Alec watched Isabelles smile. "I heard that. I have a corner of my stomach reserved just for dessert." He told Isabelle before bursting out laughing.
