Mission:
The 'Eagle continues.
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: After the briefing
OOC: Thought Isabelle might pop by Sickbay to have a problem her Borg implants checked, plus it would give Dex a reason to do a thorough blood screening that she can present to Finchley as a worrying concern later on :-) it would show she’s part augment.

Isabelle stepped inside Sickbay, as much as she was busy she was having a problem with the skin around some of the area with Borg implants. It was a problem she was hoping Dex could solve for her.
Dex was busy supervising some moments of the crew who had decided to have a fight. A broken nose and a fracture mended she was giving them a lecture. She turned to see Isabelle entering sickbay. Shon was surprised as they had not talked since she had returned to the ship.
“Hi Dex, can you spare a minute?” Isabelle offered a smile. “The skin around my implants is becoming pretty irritated, and sore, I’m not sure what’s causing it. If my nanites are doing their job then there shouldn’t be any problems.”
Dex smiled, “sure, of course, it’s good to see you after all this time. She took her tricorder. “Have a seat and let me have a look. Scanning her implants she sighed. “You’re right about the irritation, it is quite extensive, I wonder why this should not happen. Let me check the nanites, just lie back on the bed. Dex initiated a scan of the nanites in Isabelle’s body. It did not take long. “Isabelle your nanites are no longer reproducing” she said. “This is worrying as your implants will continue to deteriorate. Is there anything you can think of that might explain this?”
Isabelle shook her head. “No, nothing. They’ve functioned fine up until now, does that mean if my implants decay that you’ll finally be able to remove them? The whole point up until now has been that they couldn’t be removed because they’re wired into my brain stem and nervous system.”
“Have you had any physical problems, shaking, memory loss, not sleeping?”
“Insomnia is a normal part of my life given my job” Isabelle offered a wry smile. “But that’s only every now and again, it’s not a regular thing. I haven’t had any problems besides the inflammation and itching.”
"I have to tell you this could become serious, if they continue to deteriorate I will have to attempt to remove them. The surgery required is extremely delicate and I am unable to promise you a perfect outcome. I will look into this matter for some possible other outcome." Shon turned and walked over to a cabinet returning with a small sensor. "I want you to wear this for now, this will allow me to monitor the state of the implants. I will give you an injection that will help the general itching." Shon dialled some dilamidon and placed it against Isabelle's neck where it depressed with a satisfying hiss. "I don't want to sign you off duty, especially with this mission ongoing but, I will if I have to. I will also give you a cream to apply three times a day to the inflamed areas. Isabelle I will have to report this to the Captain, but try not to worry, worrying will only exacerbate any problems you might have. Any questions?"
“No questions Shon, thank you” Isabelle offered a warm smile. “I’m sorry we haven’t had much time to catch up, I’ll make it up to you that’s a promise. Ohh and before I forget, Congratulations on your promotion!”
"Thank you Isabelle," Shon said. "I will find a solution to your problem I promise."
She watched as Isabelle exited Sickbay.
Returning to work all Isabelle could do was wait and hope.
